Concept: A Symbolic Visual Journey

The music video symbolically follows the journey of a grain of sand across different visual landscapes.

Rather than telling a literal story, the piece builds an atmospheric experience through:

  • Visual metaphors
  • Minimal compositions
  • Rhythm-driven animation
  • Organic transitions between scenes

The goal was to create a cohesive dialogue between music and image.

Art Direction: Controlled Minimalism

The project was developed end to end, defining:

  • Visual concept
  • Graphic language
  • Restrained color palette
  • Structured compositional system

The aesthetic is intentionally minimalist—using open space, simple shapes, and contrast between flat surfaces and subtle depth.

Technique: 2D Illustration with Subtle Depth

The piece is primarily built using:

  • 2D illustration
  • Rhythm-based animation
  • Layered compositions
  • Subtle 3D elements to introduce depth

3D is not used as a dominant visual feature, but as a supporting layer that enhances dimensionality without disrupting stylistic coherence.

Motion as Narrative Language

In this project, motion design functions as a storytelling tool:

  • Animation shapes emotional pacing
  • Transitions connect symbolic environments
  • Movement conveys intention rather than explicit information

The result is a cohesive visual experience where atmosphere, symbolism, and rhythm work together to reinforce the musical narrative.
